Failure to Address the Causes of Global Warming
Rep. Don Young is the only member of the Alaska congressional delegation who has not co-sponsored legislation to address the causes of global warming.
He has repeatedly voted against legislation that would increase the use of renewable energy sources and reduce carbon emissions.
Just this year, he voted against a comprehensive bill that would not only reduce carbon emissions and increase clean renewable energy production, but which would also help reduce the impacts of global warming on America’s wildlife.

Rep. Don Young is under four separate federal investigations for abusing his office for personal gain:
The Department of Justice is investigating whether Rep. Young earmarked $10 million dollars for a construction project in exchange for campaign donations.
A criminal inquiry is underway to determine whether Rep. Young he accepted bribes and illegal/unreported gifts from the VECO Corporation in Alaska. John Wilke, Alaska’s Young Stevens Face Inquiry, The Wall Street Journal July 25, 2007)
A grand jury investigation is looking into Rep. Young’s ties to convicted lobbyist Jack Abramoff.
The FBI and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Wisconsin are investigating an alleged deal involving Rep. Young, other congressmen and convicted Wisconsin businessman Dennis Troha.
